Avoiding Burnout When You Work From Home

September 14, 2026 · 1 min de lecture

Without a commute or a clear "end" to the office, work can quietly bleed into every hour of the day.

Remote work can blur the line between work and personal time more than office work does, which makes deliberate boundaries especially important.

Set a firm end-of-day boundary

Close your laptop, log out of chat apps, and physically leave your workspace if possible, even if it's just another room.

Take real breaks, away from the screen

  • A short outdoor walk
  • Lunch away from your desk
  • Stretching or a few minutes of movement between meetings

Watch for warning signs

Persistent fatigue, irritability, or difficulty focusing are worth taking seriously rather than pushing through indefinitely.

Talk to your manager if the load feels unsustainable

A direct, calm conversation about workload is more productive than silently struggling.
