Flight simulator shows what happened during hijacking attempt

A pilot on a Dubai-to-Tel Aviv flight has been arrested after he stabbed the other pilot in the cockpit during an apparent attempt to crash the plane, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said. Despite being injured, the attacked pilot — identified as Captain Smit Machchhar — fought back and “managed to prevent a 9/11 disaster,” Netanyahu told CNN.

Pilot and flight instructor Aaron Murphy gets inside a simulator to show CNN’s Erin Burnett what happened in the cockpit during the attempted hijacking of FlyDubai flight FZ 1073. And, CNN’s Pete Muntean provides an update on what we know and how some passengers fought back.
