How to Answer "Why Should We Hire You?"

September 22, 2026 · 1 min de lecture

This question rewards specificity — generic confidence doesn't land.

This question is really asking: of everyone we're interviewing, what makes you the lowest-risk, highest-value choice?

Build your answer around three things

A specific skill or experience matched to their stated need, a measurable result you've delivered before, and something about your working style that fits the team or role.

Avoid generic claims

"I'm a hard worker" or "I'm a team player" is forgettable because every candidate says it. Replace it with a specific example that proves the trait.

Keep it under a minute

This isn't the moment for your full career story — three tight points beat five rambling ones.
